Every sales person should be using WhoWorks.at

Easily view people in your network who work at the site you’re visiting by installing WhoWorks.at It requires you to be using  Google’s Chrome browser. I recommend you should be using Chrome for plenty of other reasons, and will share some of those later on in this series.

whoworks at logoOnce installed, whenever you visit a website, a list of all of your LinkedIn connections that work at that company, or used to work there, are just a click away. 1st degree connections are the most important and bubble up to the front of the list. If you don’t know anyone at the company directly, you are at least able to see 2nd and 3rd level connections, as well as one-click to follow the company on LinkedIn. In some instances, you will be able to view recent hires and promotions / title changes. It doesn’t always return results but is worthwhile to check while you are there. The beauty of this tool is in its simplicity and singular focus. If you are a sales manager, I encourage you to have this tool set up on the screen of every one of your sales people. Recruiters are having a field day with this technology and there is every reason why it will be as productive and valuable for sales professionals as well. What a huge time-saver.
